The Anita Paul  Realtime Mastery Workshops™ provide a unique hands-on learning approach wherein each participant engages in advanced learning techniques thorough conflict resolution; word boundary solutions, including prefixes and suffixes; punctuation for RT; numbers; alphabets; and “Smart Strokes” – realtime techniques. The work is tough; we sprinkle in inspiration and fun and a few surprises along the way. Live interaction at these events creates amazing value by folks making friends, networking, learning what’s happening around the country, etc. 

The complete Anita Paul Realtime Mastery Workshop consists of the first 3 days.

          All CLASSES begin at 8:00 a.m. sharp.

Day 1 – Realtime Mastery Workshop - Part 1

Thursday .75 CEUs   - Setup / Registration  7:00 a.m.     Workshop  8:00 a.m. to  4:30 p.m.

·         How to transform your attitude and conquer FEAR of your Realtime screen

·         Essential strategies for Personal Develop for Court Reporters

·         How to cope effectively with difficult attorneys, heavy accents, fast talkers, etc.

·         How to Realtime technical material   

·         Basic and advanced CONFLICT resolution,

You will leave inspired, informed, and excited about the future of court reporting.  Whether just starting out at an entry level or having written some Realtime, this transformational day creates a fantastic experience for all.  Worried about the declining economy?  You will experience the greatest success techniques for tough times for others, not for you..  Extensive handouts included.

Hooking Up and Troubleshooting Seminar

for the beginner, intermediate, or advanced

How to hook up realtime to clients and courtroom participants, as well as mastering troubleshooting issues, are VITAL skills for the realtime provider. To say you are not a tech-savvy person is irrelevant.  ANYBODY can learn, and it's easy once you learn these simple steps.  We love training reporters who see themselves as Excellent Experts or Excellent Expert Wannabees, NOT mediocre, complacent failure-type thinkers.

Learning to troubleshoot on the spot like a natural will build your self confidence and make you look like an expert.  Hooking up often and to many computers can translate to a huge increased income!

                                    If you have steno conflicts you are interested in resolving,

                                    attend the Realtime Mastery Workshop - Part 1 all day.

                                    If you have very few or no conflicts and you would like

                                    to learn all about hooking up, lit support, wireless and cables,

                                    computer settings, and troubleshooting, attend the

                                    REALTIME TECH and Certification seminar  that takes

                                    place Thursday afternoon in a separate room.

Day 2 – Realtime Mastery Workshop - Part 2

Friday  .75 CEUs - Setup / Registration  7:30 a.m.     Workshop  8:00 a.m.  to  4:30 p.m.

 ·        Prefixes and Suffixes (beginning, intermediate, and advanced solutions to word boundary problems)

 ·        Punctuation for Realtime

·         Advanced conflict solutions; hyphenated phrases

·         Guidelines for rough drafts, unedited transcripts

·         Time-saving automation for transcript preparation of in camera, confidential, or closed hearings

Day 3 – Realtime Mastery Workshop Part 3

Saturday  .75 CEUs - Setup / Registration  7:30 a.m.     Workshop  8:00 a.m.  to  4:30 p.m.    

·         Alphabets for Realtime, Captioning, and CART (up to 10 alphabets, including fingerspelling)

·         Master “Smart Strokes,” including advanced Realtime writing concepts

·         Obscenities and profanities

·         Speedbuilding techniques

·         Create CONSISTENT shortcuts on the fly

·         Speaker IDs and advanced phrasing

·         Dictionary cleanup and maintenance

·         CRR overview and mock CRR test

·         Test-taking techniques to conquer nerves

 Day 4 – SEMINAR on Technology, Transition to CART and Captioning,

               CCP and CBC Overview

Sunday  .75 CEUs - Setup / Registration  7:45 a.m.     Seminar  8:00 a.m.  to  3:15 p.m.
